 I have fond memories of a journey that took me through Canada. Scenery was so awesome, late August Kitchener, Toronto, Niagara Falls, Snow coming in off the great lakes with beautiful maple trees, and pines standing tall in the back ground. Gorgeous canadian ladies making me feel like i was living in the 70s with their bell bottoms and tai dai shirts. Cheers Canada..

Yeah, we have the other side of the coin, too. Like shoveling snow like crazy in August, the snow that comes off the lake. The gorgeous Canadian ladies know their worth, and are incredibly controlling in full awareness of their gender. You go to a restaurant, any restaurant, in Southern Ontario, where families go; and you will see women (in-laws, sisters, cousins, etc.) talk incessantly, and all the men sitting around quietly, occasionally blinking or digesting some food. Bell bottoms: are you talking about the pants, or the shape of the ladies? Coz the proper word is "pear-shaped", I think, or "huge-buttommed" or something like that.

Required of immigrants:
- refugee status: must be tortured or threatened to be executed (five-minute procedure to get in) or else proof that the person is discriminated or persecuted for religious, ethnic, etc. etc. reasons. Waiting list for latter: 5 days to 8 years, depending on the severity of the issue. Refugees can apply from inside Canada; all other claimants, applicants and replicants (exp. Africaans) (South-AFrican language speaking people) must apply from outside, applying from inside is impossible.
- sponosored: an employer can prove to the governement that the skillset of the applicant is needed for the employer's business, and there is no way he can find or easily find someone with that skillset from within Canada.
- Sponsored: family members can sponsor other family members, but not relatives. Proof must be shown or convincing evidence to immigration officials that the sponsor will be able to support the immigrant for five years. Unofficially and quite readily you can sponsor relatives, but you must be a citizen of extremely good standing to do that, like being a doctor, a brand-name politician, a lawyer, or a rich businessman; as well as rich sportsman or sportswoman, world-famous writer, musician, dancer/actor or painter, etc.
- self-sponsored: paying $250,000 per head in your family, to come to canada, and you MUST establish a business employing nobody but your family and people already legally in Canada. This is on a probationary term; if you lose the business, you are extradited. If you stick it out for five years, there is a winfall, you get $200,000 back for each person you paid the $250,000 for.

--------

Things to watch out for: Immigration experts that will tell you they are associated with the Canadian gov., but are not.

These immigration scammers will get money out of you, as "fees"; will tell you lies and will destroy your life.

F'rinstance, many families show up at the border entry point, like in international airports, with all their belongings, and when the customs immigration man asks them, why did you come, they will say, well, we are immigrating to your beautiful country. The imm. official gets security, they are interrogated and their backgrounds get checked, and in a day or two they are sent back to their country of origin if they don't qualify for refugee status. The most often heard defence, "yeah, but the canadian immigration official helper told us in Uruguay that we just come in, and bang, we are in like flint", but that's no excuse. When you get back, you can bring it up with the foreign con man who claims to be immigration expert to canada.

If you want to bs. your way in as refugee, that can't be done, either. International treaties exist that make background checks easy. No person with a criminal record or with a heavy disease will be admitted as refugee, unless the criminal record is for political crimes. No food can be brought in of food species that live in canada: Beef, pork, poultry, no, no, no. Wheat, apples, cantaloupes, no. Oranges, bananas, fried woolly mammouth meet, yes. You can't bring in animals or parts of them that are or are made of, animals of endangered species. No firearms, and no illegal drugs.
