you don't think that is a double standard? he's leading the charge on wasteful government spending, and then charging the government to protect him?
No, I don't think it is a double standard. I don't see why Biden should be taking a loss on his rental property just because the Secret Service decided that that's where its agents should be housed.
BTW,Biden is the poorest member of the Senate. Obviously, he be never engaged in all the insider trading that goes on in Congress and he wasn't born with a silver spoon Like Bush was.

Poorest member of the Senate my a$$, that is the funniest thing I have ever heard. laugh rofl laugh Thank's I needed a good laugh today. laugh

Why shouldn't he charge them rent? They wanted to be there specifically, and they're taking up space so that other renters can't stay there. Biden is not a particularly wealthy Senator. What's wrong with supplementing his income by renting out space in a rental property. I think he's doing the Secret Service a favor by giving them a discount.

You guys scream that businesses don't operate in order to give away their services. Why should Biden have to?

You also have to remember citizens can't be forced to barrack troops. Although the arrangement is bizarre, I agree, they are depriving him of renting tenants and he has a "right" to prosper with his property. He should've given them a discount, maybe he buys them pizza????

they are not depriving of renting, the other tenants moved out recently. all the other SS men live outside of the property, somewhere fairly close. i just don't get why he's charging them anything,as he gets paid more than 60% of American citizens are making right now. leaders are supposed to set an example for the people to follow, and i do not think it is a very good example that he is setting. he'll never get my vote for anything. as much as i don't like bush, don had a good point, that would be the example to be setting. Isn't renting property a business?

Isn't it the republican way that a business should have priority over charity to make this country stronger?

So what they are saying is if you are republican business is the priority but if you are dem then charity is the priority.

WTH?

I look at it this way, these people are there to protect his life and for that I think he should forgo the rent and let them stay there free. On the other hand if the SS wants to stay that close then perhaps they should pay, if it were up to me these men and women would stay at a hotel somewhere and hops they get to him in time of something were to wrong.

Hell Bush already had SS living on his property anyway from daddy as they have security for the rest of their lives.

As long as biden is not charging more rent then what he would be charging so his business doesn't go under then no biggie.

umm... you cannot run a business when your the prez or vice prez... thats a law... thats why when they are elected, they have to quit any companies or businesses they are involved with.

Maybe the answer is they move out and he gets "regular" tenants. Maybe we should look at speaker of house and Senate to see their arrangements??

like i said, if your a leader, you need to set examples...i feel it is a bad example. just more proof that greedyness runs rampant in both parties. i had some respect for the libs until this, now i see again that they are the same as the cons...

No he didn't, that is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. He didn't even have protection when his dad was President.

The only time the Secret Sevice was at his residence was when his parents came to visit. slaphead
