Long, good, not great. A tad disappointed.

I thought it was big fun.

I think I was expecting more before seeing the movie.

Green lantern deserved a much more epic film. The pacing was a mess, the characters were dull(the worst offender was Carol Ferris, who is a major character in the comics. In the movie she was just a boring stereotype. I don't buy her becoming the villain Star Saphire down the road), and the attempts at humor were kind of lame. Personally, I thought that the Flash would have made for a better movie.

I went to see this knowing nothing about the Green Lantern and liked it. Didn't think it was too long at all. It was a fun movie.

I enjoyed the movie.

I liked this more than I liked X-Men: First Class or Transformers 3.

Haven't seen it yet and I'm very hesitant to waste money doing so. Too much hype and too much that I've seen in the trailers that either doesn't fit with Hal Jordan or is overdone (like the glow of the suits). It appears to me as nothing more than your average "summer blockbuster" that's just overbudgeted ads and rushed to screen script because comic movies are dollar signs right now.

Speaking as an avid comic book/graphic-novel reader, I gotta say this flick was JUST OK.
There was so much potential for GREEN LANTERN to be Warner Bros.' next big franchise after POTTER & BATMAN. Sadly, this won't be it. Don't get me wrong, it's not a horrible film. It's way better than the crappier superhero films that have come out, i.e. DAREDEVIL, FANTASTIC 4, THE PUNISHER. I even thought Ryan Reynolds wasn't the worst thing about this flick, which is saying a lot because I was on the fence when I heard he was cast as Hal Jordan/GL. But you can tell he's holding back from being his typical Ryan Reynolds character from WAITING... Still, it won't rank up there with THE DARK KNIGHT, X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, IRON-MAN. But it's fun to watch, especially the scenes set in space. RATING: 6.75/10 |

I'd agree with those sentiments on the Dolph Lundgren option, but I actually liked the Thomas Jane flick and War Zone was entertaining, at least. Edit: This from a guy who never cared for the comics, so take that as you will. |

My apologies. Yes, I meant the Dolph Lundgren PUNISHER flick. You're right about the other two being entertaining, I'll give you that. I just wish both were successful to warrant a sequel of some sort, ya know?
Wishful thinking. |

Hmmm ... think I'll wait for the DVD to come out. |
