"He" is unknowable...
Then nothing more can be said about 'God'. So why did you ask then? |

Now, if only all religiously grounded issues were able to be resolved with such conciseness and impeccable logic.
The world would be a better place. |

By "you" I am speaking of anyone who makes any claims about the Bible being true. Do you? Do I what? Make claims about the Bible being true? I thought you didn't care what others believed... Please don't play games. I don't care what you "believe." What you believe and what I believe is NOT IMPORTANT. It is what we claim is true that needs to be proven beyond any reasonable doubt. As you know there are countless "beliefs." They can not all be "true." I think it is of paramount importance in this time in our history that we find out the truth. Therefore I will ask for proof of any claim. I will start with the Bible. As it stands, I claim that it is NOT TRUE. In order for me to change that 'belief' I must have proof. (not "faith" in the authority who wrote it.... no God did not write it.) If you can't prove a claim, I will not accept it as true. YOU can if you want. I just can't. I am willing to change what I believe IF I am shown convincing proof. I'm not playing games, I'm being literal. It's others who make the claims of truth, not I. You say Christians may be "destined" to hell, I say show me where you get your info. From a person? Or from your own reading and understanding? I'm exposing the lies, others are perpetuating them. "Hell" is a lie... So is "eternity" Find your own proof because I really do NOT care what others think. Just stop spreading the lies, k? Ditto to you. You implying that I'm spreading lies? Show me once where I've lied, just one... I can prove my statements, can you prove yours? I'm not gonna bother getting into a debate with you, because no matter what I say, you'll find some way around it. You want me to prove things to you, show me you are able to listen. Otherwise, forget it. Maybe you just have to step up your game. |

Is the Christian God the God of Abraham? Is He all powerful? Is He all knowing? Is He all good? "He" is unknowable... If we can't know Him, what gives you any reason to say you can? hmmmmph Show me where I said I know God... just let go of the anger, it's clouding your thoughts... |

I asked because you made a valid point about others telling believers what it is that they believe about God, an all that that entails. So I asked the questions which I did because those are long-standing tenets of the religion.

You act like you do, and most Christians act like they do, because to them God is this and only this and not that. If I as a non-christian cannot know God, then how can a christian know? |

I never said that Christians are "destined" to hell. My mission is to discover truth, and expose lies. |

I guess the obvious question - to me at least - arises...
If God cannot be known, then what grounds Christianity? |

I guess the obvious question - to me at least - arises... If God cannot be known, then what grounds Christianity? For me in a nutshell... Psychic abilities (or at least perceived abilities)... |

If you believe the Bible it says:
Every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. |

I guess the obvious question - to me at least - arises... If God cannot be known, then what grounds Christianity? Truly. It a religion that claims to know precisely what God is like! |

I guess the obvious question - to me at least - arises... If God cannot be known, then what grounds Christianity? God is infinite, you would have to be omniscient to fully know God. Christianity offers mankind a small, but accurate picture of God. |

Psychic abilities which cannot possibly know God? Like some Agnostics will say, they don't believe the human mind is capable of knowing God. If God is everywhere and everything, do you think your perception can encompass His entire being? Knowing "of" God and some perceived atrributes is not impossible (IMO), but to know God absolutely in this life and form seems impossible to me. |

How do you know that it is "accurate" Spider? I'm presuming that by "accurate" you mean a correct account of the way things are concerning God. How do you know? |
