Don't read too much into it. I do work smart, but the volume of work in the fields I have worked in also requires one to push your limits.
There is often a number of obstacles to overcome, especially in the restaurant business. The situation is often much, much less than ideal. One of the biggest obstacles is trying to get people to perform a task in a better, more efficient way. Often the set up requires more work initially, maybe even an investment of money by the company, and then the idea is keep it that way by simple maintenance once set up. Many workers aren't willing to suck it up in the short term to give the new system a chance to prove its value. On top of that, ownership often doesn't want to put the money in even though it will pay for itself in labor and quicker service to the customer. This is the experience I have had. For some reason, I seem to get penalized for both working smart and working hard while those who buck improvement reap the rewards. It makes me want to start my own business, but I don't have the money to do so. |

I think the American Dream is dead the days when one could get a good job after college and retire comfortable from that same company 25-30 yrs later in a home they own are gone < so that American Dream is very much gone for most people If I am ever able to own a home of my own it will be a miracle - yet I have never done anything in my life but all the things I am supposed to do actually if owning a home is the american dream then more people are living the dream now that never could before. many folks are now qualifying who couldn't before with home prices down as they are and fixed rate thirty year mortgages at sub five percent. that misses the entire point but I expected as much |

In my world, there would be no super-billionairs with the other 99.9% clawing for survival.
We would have regular billionaires and thriving middle class. No offense to any super-billionaires posting here today. |

im sure(not)that everybody knows that bill gates didnt invent windows
ibm came to him and he borrowed $40,000.00 from his mom and bought it from someone you never heard of. it seems that poor people never amount too much because when you make something good the rich come along and well you know buy it from you. and if it something that can benifit the world they come by and buy it and bury it so its that it never existed in the first place. its as if they and only them have the midas touch. |

lol. just begs the question. when does one leave the ranks of "regular billionair" and become a "super billionair" in "your world". So unless someone can tell you how you think there is no point in having the conversation? That is what people say when they can't answer something. He even said "in your world." He was asking what "you" consider a super billionaire. Sorry if people don't automatically know what "you" think. |

It says you don't know because to give a number say 10 billion dollars would take less time than making a post saying it is a waste of time.

It's called the American Dream, because you have to be asleep to believe it. George Carlin used to be funny. I watched him on Netflex the other night and he was pathetic. He is completely out of touch with the world at age 70. He's not funny anymore. He was really insulting to people who have faith in God, and I just thought he was rude. Perhaps I've just out evolved him or out grown his negative nasty attitude. Maybe I've changed and he hasn't. The all American dream should be called the All American challenge. Life and the world itself is a huge challenge. |
