People want their convenience. As Long as radiation is polluting them what does it matter. If an Earthquake hit us like that in CA we have TWO reactors on Fault lines and on the coast. Diablo Canyon rests by a fault, San Onofre sits RIGHT on a fault line. If either buckle our coast line is screwed and EVERYONE due east gets to suck radiation.

What sucks is Japan got burned not being prepared to deal with remediation of a radioactive accident like the one they face. We cannot deirrariate materials. We cannot deenrich radioactive materials. Yet we are so hot to implement a technology we barely control and have no means to render safe in the event of an accident. Germany is working to phase out Nuclear power becasue of Chernobyl and Japan. They seen what a mess it creates.

Nope, it takes a disaster to get some of these complacent idiots to address the problems we create for ourselves.

Germany tested boars in their own country and found many of them to be radioactive enough to be considered unsafe to eat. This was the after math of Chernobyl. In Washington State there is a reactor there that polluted part of Puget sound. the mud worms are extraordinarily huge. The very mud makes a Geiger Counter go off. And every single time someone investigates the mess the Feds come in and take their documentation and force them under a Gag Order.
