Hi Patrick I went to alaska last summer in July on a cruise.It is the most beautiful place I have ever been along with the yukon. But yeah ...it was cold!!! And I am Canadian..you think I, would be used to it. No Rain though..they said that was very unusual.  You managed to miss the rain. I'm impressed! Guessing you were here early in July.  it was around the 18th for a week. good trip. Right now I am wearing my Ketchikan sweat shirt.  Cool, y'all come back now ya hear. I would go back in a hearbeat!! It was an awseome trip. I wanna go too. Ok, Everyone is invited to my place. We will sit around the campfire making smores and singing Kumbaya. Don't forget the requisite story telling! SHHHHHH!     OK...who do you want to tell a story about

Just give them a name and pet them! Or pack a gun or three and make sure to store your food and waste well away from the camp site. But bears are just animals. Unless you get between a sow and her cub you have nothing really to worry about. Probably have a better chance of being run over by a moose! |
