Let me know what you think

The Storm.

The stars fill the darkness of the night,
Twinkling bright, shinning their magic light.
One by one they wink, as if to say hello,
Poised, bright, as we look from below.

The man in the hugh full moon,
Large and round will vanish real soon.
Looks all alone, sad, wearing a frown,
The clouds will come and his light will drown.

A warm spring breeze blows away the heat,
So you and I can drift off to sleep.
Along with the breeze come the clouds,
That will fill the dams, creeks and shrouds.

The gentle breeze turns to a wind, cold,
Gusting and howling in every nook and fold.
The might trees swaying to and fro,
In the storm that’s ready to blow.

A flash of light dances across the sky,
The horses gallop and then shy.
Yellow, purple and a real bright white,
Lights the sky and frightens the night.

Thunder rolls across the plain,
The horses bolt from it again.
Echo’s back until it dies,
The thunder has it mighty cry.

Rain spatters on the ground,
The plants it has found.
Soaks up the gift of life
Fills it’s stem throughout the night.

As we lay cuddled up in bed,
I lay here and you run through my head.
Thinking how lucky I am my friend
With you the time I love to spend.

Macca.
