Everyone has heard that you have to love yourself before someone else can love you. The reason for this is simple - our ideal partner is a reflection of us.

We attract people that are like us. Not just in terms of romantic, sexual/physical attraction. We attract them metaphysically - these people tend to turn up in our lives.

Each of us has a unique belief system, a way of seeing the world that is slightly different to everyone else's. It's almost like our ego has a fingerprint. What turns us on, what turns us off. What we feel is important. did that make sense ?

That was incrediby insightful. I am seriously impressed with your intellect Kiss.....You are no joke!

..let's just say i don't necessarily follow the consensus here, altho to some extent i will say that our loves are an extension of ourselves,we don't necessarily have to love ourselves in order to

love someone else..in some ways i have to say i try to make up to my son that which i have lacked all my life ..and that is my parents love, coming from an abusive dysfunctional home and being told you

are worthless and nothing sometimes one has a tendency to start believing that which is not true, yet i know i would never want my son to feel the hurt i carry inside from this i tend to over

compensate for what i have never had and find most of the times i feel i can't do enough..even tho in his mind it may be ..for me it never is so i find fault within and i am never happy with myself nor do i love myself..because i can never do enough to make the pain inside subside...smokin jmo
