My parents were like that also, my Mom is still to a certain extent, but she is older now and wants to take time for herself, my Grandma on her side was always inviting people no matter who they were over for meals, I remember the big gatherings we would have, but you never left Grandmas house hungry.

Growing up my friends were always there, they had food they never would get at their house.

Many were latch key kids. But many of them never ate certain foods.

Kids that their parents had to work, the kids had to let themselves into the house. Take care of themselves till their parents got home.

Not that they could not have certain foods. My mother would prepared foods that their parents would not prepare.

Probably because there parents didn't have time to prepare certain foods, I would think.

I told you have a tough time putting words together so people understand what I'm saying. Could you image a poem that had cliff notes so people could understand the poem.

I like my cooking I do not know if others do. Recipes are from mother and grandfathers, and grandmothers.

Cooking is always good at home, I do admit I do take out more than I should, however Saturday mornings I go out with family for breckfast,I do need to watch what I eat more often tis means getting older that salt can be a killer.laugh

I watch many foods, so if you see a pattern in my eating it is because of certain things I have to watch out for.

Well there is salt substitutes and some sugar is okay, to much red meat is not good high in cholestoral never could spell that word, okay I am going for that Klondike bar in the freezerlaugh seriously I am.happy
