The number of Christians who don't know that God is proud of having created a fire-breathing dragon would probably also astound you.

Do tell! You mean Satan wasn't responsible for his own actions?

Actually it's told in the story of Job.

I wasn't aware that Satan was the creator.

I guess I lose a point on that one. bigsmile

??? You're not making sense Abra.Satan's not the creator. Nor did God create fire-breathing dragon. God created Satan, the strongest, most powerful angel. And the angel used his own free will to become the monster he is today. He wasn't created that way. He willfully chose to take that path of life, again God didn't create him that way.

The fire-breathing dragon described in Job is not a description of Satan. On the contrary it's just God's way of trying to get Job to understand how powerful God truly is that he can create things such as fire-breathing dragons that no mortal man can harness.

Like as if that's supposed to be impressive.

Personally I think any God who's goal is to create humans to be his eternal servants would be rather sadistic to create fire-breathing dragons that no human can harness. What would be the point to that?

That confirms to me that this God is truly insane. But then I already knew that from that fact that he's appeased by blood sacrifices just like the Greek God Zeus.

Nothing new there, same old mythologies just being retold by another culture is all.

Exactly, it's highly recognized that there are indeed fire-breathing dragons described in the Bible, at least one in Job and one or more in revelations.

For me, the question isn't whether or not these creatures actually existed and lived at the same times as humans, but the idea that God was actually proud of himself for having created such beasts and thinks that this is a valid reason why we should stand in awe of him seems insane to me?

From my point of view that's just weirder than weird.

I'm personally convinced that it's just mythology like all the other religions that have long since been proclaimed to be mythology. It's just a repeat of the very same ideas. It's not even an original idea.

I guess Revelations is wrong then.

Rev 12:7-9

And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, 8 but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. 9 So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Supposedly that's was Satan's mistake. He wanted to reign and rule too. And he was clearly a believer. bigsmile

It doesn't technically say he was the greatest or most beautiful per say. But it speaks a lot about Satan's beauty and strength. A cherub is a creature like most people think of Cupid. Talks about Satan/Lucifer being perfect in all ways, that would be including beauty. Ect ect. There is much knowledge on Satan's beauty and his power.

13Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

14Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

15Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

Shalom.

Those are some interesting verses/chapters of Ezekials visions.

Also says he will destroy the land for its been a terror but will be a terror no more sending a message to those who surround Israel.

Very interesting.. never thought about Russia and how its been attacked and is right thier , just all of a sudden step in and Bomb Aphganistan..Russia wanted it when we supplied bin laden with supplies and traing.. mainly the sams that brought down thier helicopters.

Be interesting if Russia said.. "We've had enough in our backyard. Then destroys the Aphgans and moves right in..

Who's going to stop her?

It would be a blessing in disquise.. better than the Taliban and they will keep Pakistan better in check.. get noticed support Israel.

So much oil reserves and Precious metals.. Thats the main reason we are thier is to strip them of thier precious metals.

How long will Russia stand by? We are stretched thin.. Finacially strapped.

Yea a Russian takeover in the name of Freedom from Terror would be welcomed. Just a thought.. Blessings..Miles
