Actually my interests would be better off if we didn't have dept but still had a defense program. Do you get social security? Welfare, food stamps. Medicare? Those also get money from the government. I guess it's their fault we are in debt too.

So Quit blowing smoke up my azz trying to tout Health Care I can't afford anyways insurance or not, pensions are NOT the responsibility of the employer no matter how you tear it, that is union dogma and we are each responsible for our own retirement, NOT UNCLE SAM, and paying into a program I likewise don't believe in? Even if I was above poverty line income I would do everything I could to avoid paying into a system I don't believe in anyways becasue why? WE ARE ALL RESPONSIBLE FOR OUR OWN RETIREMENT! Oh, and by the way, when I do pop up above poverty level the Social Security tax HURTS! Again, self employed vs. W2, self employed pays more all around and we need more deductions to squeak by!

Well in my reality my employer is repsonsible for my retirement as well as social security. As things stand today I will make more retired than working. I wish you could enjoy the same.

People do not get what they deserve but they do get what they negotiate.

Proof positive you are acting on belief and not what is real, just, or true! We are responsible for ourselves. We are responsible for our own retirement. Not our business nor our government is responsible for squat! A business gives you a job. And Unions have driven away more business than kept here with their negotiations.

There is a point I will not negotiate. When I hit that point all negotiations end. If I were an employer and you came to me making those ridiculous demands I would lay you off and hire new meat. I know of one business right now preparing to break the union's back that has been plaguing them and now with Obama's cut backs they are about to get postal on the unions in ways the unions did not see coming. They are intentionally trying to force the union into a strike so they can downsize and hire new people.

People need to get back to standing up for themselves! Government should not be what we depend on to live! That is exactly why our sense of community has fallen apart! That is why America is becoming like all the other Mediocre Eurotrash nations! I never thought France would grow a pair but now they are seeing what open door immigration has done for them. their refusal to allow more immigrants in speaks volumes for what is about to come. The days of powerful unions are numbered in this country!

I think you need to take a harder look at your republican heros after all we have been cutting taxes for decades now and the result is the current situation.
