They left out that I got them to admit to over $1000.00 in previous thefts or the fact the guy decided to fight lol.

I hope you got a couple of PR 24 knocks on his knee real good after he got a couple across his noggin! Then again that would be brutality. Did he find mace pleasing or was it the Tazer? I love the way people twitch when given a little electrified "STOP THAT."

And the admission? Does that not raise the severity of the crime they were busted for into a premeditated wrap?

All in all though at least there is that much less human trash pulling their petty crap on the streets for the moment.

Honestly, I have been doing Loss Prevention since 2001, I have never had to use any weapon to get someone back into the office or in handcuffs. Only one has gotten away in all the years and that is because he had a gun.

As far as the admission, the DA can upgrade the charges, but the street cops wont. Although it does make a better case for Felony Burg, which they were charged with. All's I have to do is show intent that they came in to steal, which they came in with an empty purse, no forms of payment at all, came in went straight for the product they attempted to steal and went out the door.

The guy put up a little fight but he went down quickly, I had to use two pairs of handcuffs on him because he was pretty big. The woman just came back cooperativly after she saw her boyfriend get dropped.......

Also if they attempt to fight and are still holing on to the merchandise it can become Strong Armed Robbery and Battery on top of it.

Another one of my apprehensions made the paper on Thursday, but it's not on the website just in the paper :(

I've had ten this week alone. Been really busy. The other lady I cought that was in the paper was a Professional Shoplifter and was hard as hell to catch.

Wow she can lift a whole shop? No wonder she was so hard to catch. Superwoman.
