Topic: At some point today I WILL go fishing. | |

I am an avid fisherman, some people don't get it. Where I live there's nothing better than the scenery fishing from a boat, wading, or casting off of a dock. So relaxing and peaceful, good luck!!

Catfish, Blue gills, Crappies, sounds like you're fishing in puddles. Saltwater is where it's at. Nothing like the fight of a 30 or 40 pound Stripper to let you know you're fishing. You made up the Stripper part, right? |

I am not knocking saltwater fishing... I would love to one day!
But I live next to a creek not the ocean! But I do have the Ohio river close by and we have huge strippers and catfish and all that here. Still I would love to ocean fish. |

i looked it up, and this is what it said:
The Hellbender is one of the largest salamanders in the world, which are rivaled only by a few who are close to their size that live in China and Japan. Once numbering literally millions, they are today not truly endangered but are limited to the healthy stream systems that are throughout the eastern United States. Hellbenders (Cryptobranchus alleganiensis) are extremely large, completely aquatic salamanders native to the eastern United States. The largest hellbender ever recorded was nearly 21/2 ft. long. http://www.itsnature.org/ground/reptiles-land/hellbender/ |

Haley, Stripe Bass season opens in May, biggest and best fishing is in the Fall. When you're ready to FISH, let me know! The fish in your pictures is about the size of our bait. Seriously enjoy the fishing. Even a bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work!!

That's my Motto Paul...
A bad day fishing is still pretty freakin sweet! My fish aren't bait! They are baby MONSTERS! But ooooh.... I am jealous I want something I really have to fight with! |

Come out to the Island, I got a buddy who is a charter Capt, never came back in without a 40" fish in the boat. By the way, What do you have when you put 20 fisherman in the same place? A room full of liars! Have a great time, some of us have to work. |

I'm already home. I just went out for a little bit today.
I have to work as well. If I ever make it to the Island I will look you up for sure and If i don't catch a 35in one I am charging you airfare! |

i guess the fishing is good up there in NY? i'm in the gulf, and i haven't been fishing since the oil spill... i loved fishing up in seattle, salmon and pike, great fighting fishes... but if you want a good fight, try getting an 8 ft tarpin or alligator gar, they are amazing...
