Apparently finger prints and in extension the lines in your palm are lines that develop as we develop and grow. Essentially growth lines.

Really no different and no more poignant then any other wrinkle.

Just because you can't interpret them, does not mean that there is no valid reason for each and every line to be there or that they mean nothing.

How does a palmist predict future?
Is it just comparing the palm lines with some refernce lines?
Selecting a few similar type of palm lines of known persons some general conclusion may be drawn and on the basis of this conclusion, prediction for unknown persons having simiar palm lines is done.smokin

Once went to a palm reader.

She was a very nice woman. When she noticed how sticky it was and the calluses she somehow knew I masturbated a lot! HOW DID SHE KNOW!?

I guess that seals it. Palm reading is real. laugh

The lines on are hands are not there by accident.....they are different and unique to each of us. There is much truth in palmistry. As anything else they should be used for guidance.
Nothing is set in stone....yes, i believe we have more control over our lives then most understand.

Yes it's true that the lines on our hands are not there by accident, they are indicative of the flex points. You have extra skin on your knuckles and the lines are are folds of skin that allow for the bending of your fingers. Those lines are as natural and necessary as the lines on you palms.

If you have ever met someone whose hand has been severely burned or required skin grafts, you would know that they have limited range of mobility and often cannot make a fist because their skin does not have the flex lines needed.

infants are born with the same lines (life line, head line, heart line, etc.)

That makes it easy doesn't it - else how would anyone know where those lines were or even what they would mean.

The fact is, Ladylid, if you hold you hand open, palm facing you, and slowly begin opening and closing your hand, you will see how every line on your hand was placed strategically.

NOW - think logically about that

Can you move your hand in any ways that are vastly different from any other human with similar hand structure? Consider the fact that the most prominant lines that you speak of are prominant in nearly every human, and what you call unique is just part of the what is considered the range of normalcy for a similaly designed hand.

By the way - some primates have the same lines - but what purpose would there be in trying to tell their future by the lines on their palms?

---- just so you know, I am open minded and there was a time I paid attention to palm lines because the idea emerged from some medical sector that certain lines were indicative of heart problems. That was many years ago and research never supported it, though it was worth looking into.

There is a reason for everything, down to the tiniest line on your palm. No human fingerprints are the same except maybe identical twins... then even there may be some differences. Not all lines on the palm have to do with how you move your hand.

It is not just the palm, or the tarot cards, or signs or bones, or sticks or tea leaves etc. that have no magic in them. The magic comes in knowing that every tiny thing is there for a reason and can be in indicator of the state of affairs and reality that we create. If you have the ability to expand your mind and interpret all of these signs, you can know more about reality than the next guy.

Or you can close your eyes and go through life and not even notice when it is about to rain, or when you are about to be hit by a bus.

Point is, every little tiny thing is there for a reason.
