the leftists want to raise taxes on individuals they deem "rich", but sit idly by as GE makes billions in profit and pays no income taxes AGAIN..
Huh? Do you pay any attention at all, or are you just on psycho-conservative auto-pilot? Speaking of Bizzaro world havent we heard for years from conservatives that the reasone for our lackluster economy is because taxes are to high? And from liberals and progresives we have heard that rich individuals and corperations are not paying their fair share? |

The reason GE doesn't pay income taxes is because they pay dividends to investors rather than simply earning income. GE does however pay corporate taxes. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corporate_tax_in_the_United_States

Most of you still think it's all left vs. right when it comes to millionaires avoiding taxes. They are all laughing at you for all you are so easy to be divided and conquered.
I feel sorry for most members here who still think one political party is better than the other or somehow it has to do whether it's Obama or Bush. What a pity, many of you scraping for breadcrumbs and you still choose alliances, when they all spit right between your eyes. |

I was ecstatic when Obama got into the Presidency, but he makes it more and more clear he is stupid. He wants to overhaul the entire corporate tax system. Before the overhaul, the income to the People from corporate tax revenue will be exactly the same amount as the income to the People from corporate tax revenue AFTER the overhaul. Then why do the overhaul? It will achieve nothing in the end. Is this Obama guy insane, insipid, or instupid? |

I know you think you're deeply wounding us liberals by insulting President Obama. He is not wildly popular with progressives, He has hired much of his cabinet and most of his advisors right off a wall street and big corporate America. do you really think this is OK with Progressives? If we seem positive toward Obama it is only in contrast to the choices from the right. I would vote for Alvin Green before I would vote for any Conservative for any office. get real... just because i don't like obama does not make me a republican... i didn't like bush either, so what does that make me? Pretty astute, IMHO.
