I know there were troops placed there in 2009. There has never been a report, that I have seen, of them ever being called back.
With all the Media attention, would you predict we are working up to a full scale invasion of Somalia to, 'stabilize' them? Pirates Hijack Danish Yacht With 7 People, Including 3 Children Feb 28, 2011 Pirates are towing a yacht toward Somalia after capturing the vessel carrying seven Danes, including three children, according to Danish officials. The sailboat was captured Thursday in the Indian Ocean, the Foreign Ministry said, according to news agencies. That was two days after four Americans were killed by Somali pirates. An invasion would cost a lot of money and then we would be PC required to rebuild everything even if nothing is all there ever was.
We need to cruise down the coastline and blow every boat out of the water. If they start shooting at us, send in the bombers from the carriers. When you get attacked by ants, you attack the nest. |

We need to do something in retaliation of them killing those four Americans! Send a message that killing us is not the best idea. Perhaps introduce them to some "shock and awe"! |

Not really. Somalia has been steadily stabilizing since the people ousted the government some years ago. It's only a few lunatics who are attacking people on the seas. Unfortunately, there are going to be warmongers and hacks for the military industrial complex banging the war drums and spouting war propaganda-just like Afghanistan, Iraq, and every other war/invasion in US history. I won't be surprised at all if the booboisie roll over and believe the war pigs' lies, either. |

I'm asking if inasion might be why all the media attention on pirates. There's Illegals doing kidnappings and murders in Phoenix about every day and no media reports about that. |
