I know a few people who have Acer laptops, and they love them. Plus, I believe Consumer Reports gave the Acer laptops a very good review. But then again, CR loves Dell, and I personally don't like Dell computers at all.
I have an HP, and thus far it has worked great. Plus, there tech support is real good (even if I can barely understand them, lmao). You guys had issues with Toshiba. I have always had problems with Dell. It all comes down to what brand likes you I guess.

I've had a few Acers, they didn't last much more than a year.
