Only 1% of Republicans support Ron Paul. The reason he wins polls is because he bring his supporters in the flood every event to vote in straw polls and cheer for him.

When I met him, he was giving a speech at a local coffee shop and did a tour of Northern Nevada, he brought in over 40 supporters from out of state to travel with him to make him look like he has a strong following.

Every candidate brings in candidates from out of state for events like straw polls. Say you're accurate that he bused in 40+ people into Nevada. This is not even enough for 1% of a statewide GOP poll. Yet, he took second place in the Nevada primary. All the phony publicity stunts in the world aren't enough to do that. Even if only 1% of GOPers support him doesn't make him incorrect or unpopular. He did in fact garner support from dems, independents, LPers, etc. Some rather spurious reasoning you've got there.

Mitt Romney is notorious for busing in voters (35 buses, 2000+ people in the Ames straw poll), not RP.
