OMG Im a fricken genius....i said this already....
Schwartz explained that earthquakes can indeed cascade, with one setting off another — but only locally. "When an earthquake happens, it changes the stress in the vicinity around it, and if there are other faults nearby, this increase in stress can trigger them and produce more earthquakes. In other places, it relaxes the crust and puts earthquakes off," he said. I said this days ago...it should have taken the pressure off the fault line causing it to relax...when you have a major quake like to that magnitude---it shifts everything and resettles...I am no scientist but it was my fave subject growing up. |

(all but one under 2.9 mind you) |

The problem is that everyone has an opinion.. This guy is no different than the other guy except his opinion is different... The talk about the circular effect holds more weight in my opinion than the "relief".. They have been saying that the "relief" was temporary and the wave of gases that was sent towards Japan is coming back this way... I'm no scientist but it makes sense to me...
Of course I'd prefer the "relief" scenario... |

ok kids, it's 1:30 i am off to sleepy-ville
|
|
|

i just dont buy it. Last year we had a pretty strong earthquake already, it was like a 5.9 or 5.6 or something. It was pretty good size...i know, i was about to step into an elevator when the shaking started.... that had to create some relief in my opinion.
On that note. I am heading to bed......have a good nite everyone, sweet dreams..no hanky panky |
