Wow! Looks wonderful! But if the drawings that I saw in your profile before were yours, I'm not surprised. You have talent, for sure. Hope to see more. :)

I've never been comfortable using oil on paper or canvas, I always thought it was one of the most difficult to use, so I really admire the "cleanness" of your work.

Thanks this is the first oil painting I did that I tried monochromatic. I really focused on textures since I didn't have a full color palette. By far its my favorite so I didn't have the heart to sell it!

Oil is trickier, I hated using oils when I was younger. Now its been about 10 years since i made the switch and I really like oils more so then watercolor and acrylic.

Try using alkyds. They dry as fast as acrylic but still have the shine and texture of oils.

Very cool pic. I just went out and bought some paints a little while back. My brother uses acrylics and told me to get those to start with, but while I was in the store looking at them I said screw it and bought a bunch of oils. Man are they tricky.

I agree. I guess I don't have the patience for oil. Haha. But it is one of my favorite mediums when admiring art. They have more texture, almost like 3D in a way, like they're jumping right at you. And their colors are so vivid, though I usually describe it as moody. I applaud you for mastering something so difficult and mastering it well. I do hope you post more soon. :)
