As seniors know, sometimes we have trouble with our computers.
I had a problem yesterday, so I called Eric, the 11 year old next door, whose bedroom looks like Mission Control and asked him to come over.
Eric clicked a couple of buttons and solved the problem.
As he was walking away, I called after him,
'So, what was wrong?
He replied,
'It was an ID ten T error.'
I didn't want to appear stupid, but nonetheless inquired,
‘An ID ten T error? What's that? In case I need to fix it again.'
Eric grinned ...
'Haven't you ever heard of an ID ten T error before?
'No,'
I replied.
'Write it down,'
he said,
'and I think you'll figure it out.'
So I wrote down:
ID10T
I used to like Eric.
The little bastard!!!!

A friend of mine called in to tech support for his computer and after the tech assisted him with his problem in a couple of minutes he relayed the story of the previous caller.

A woman had called in to try to resolve why her computer screen had suddenly gone blank. The tech rep asked her to check that the surge protector had not tripped. She hit the reset, nothing. Is the monitor connected properly? yes she replied. This went on and on for about 5 minutes. Finally the Tech rep asked her to explain exactly what she was doing when the screen went blank. She replied that she was checking her e-mail when all the lights on the Block went out and her computer screen went blank.

The Tech rep very calmly informed the woman to pack all of the components back into their original boxes and return them to the store where she purchased them. When you get to the store be sure to tell the person at the return department that the return code is T. F. S. When the woman asked what the code meant the Tech rep explained to the woman that she was " Too F...ing Stupid " to own a computer. rofl
