Governemnt is to large... It needs more money to operate than its citizens can (as a whole) afford.
The last I checked, the net national worth of American citizens was around $54 trillion., up from $42.5 trillion about five years ago. How much is too much to afford? It seems to me that America can afford more and more Government as time goes on. I don't care how big Government gets as long as it makes life better for all its citizens.

Government is incapable of making life better for all of its citizens. It is a pyrimid... Life at the top is great... Life at the bottom is the struggle of atlas (everything is on your shoulders)...

the best way to make your life better is for you to make it better...
Government can not do that for you.

Problem with more and more government is that eventually it will reach the point where it controls all aspects of your life... Including wether or not you eat.

Just ask the Egyptians...

The Extremist Progressive Leftists will by any trash MSNBC sells them.

Wrong, and
the word is buy!

Wow we agree on something.

Above is an example of the 'propaganda' that keeps the whole thing rotating like a stationary hurricane.

which is why we can't seem to get anything actually done about any of the 'problems'...

Everyone is chasing the eye of the storm.

It's not really their fault but, a whole bunches of sheeples were sold oblowme and they bought his lies.

It goes way beyond President Obama. Started way before President Regan.

Politicians have been stacking the deck in favor of that which favors them for a very long time.

Well, that's an opinion. Government made life pretty damned good from 1945 till the mis '70s. Think of it! Blossoming civil rights movement, Successful war on poverty, Huge growth of the middle class, single income families of four with vacations and a decent pension, awesome public works projects (Interstate highway system), explosion in academic and scientific research (NASA/Sputnik), the best low cost education system in the world (college free in some states), The best performing health care system in the world. But that all reversed with Ronald Reagan. . . . but you're right. Government done the Conservative way will only make things better for those who are already at the top.

Well, that's an opinion. It is striking that Conservatives enjoy having corporations controlling virtually every aspect of their lives and reject a Governmental initiative that would give taxpayer infinitely more freedom and choice (Single Payer).

Just ask the Egyptians...
I'm not sure what the Egyptians would be able to tell us, other than that they hate us for propping up a Totalitarian Government.

That is what haveing to much government does. it becomes total...

People at the top eat. People at the bottom only eat if they behave the way the top wants.

this seems to me to be an artificially induced sense of paranoia. America's Government is not even in the same universe as a totalitarian state. The leaders of the 40s-the-70s would be considered Communists by today's right. That includes Eisenhower and Nixon. You have been well indoctrinated by the Faux News bunch. This is a problem with people who are, say, in their 40s and younger. They have spent their entire lives of political awareness in Ronald Reagan's America, and they think that this is how the world is and should be. They have no sense of history, They haven't a clue about what it was like to live in America from WWII to Ronald Reagan.

Well, I have been doing this all day long and my eyes are tired. We'll pick it up tomorrow.

I have a sense of history... and no idea what 'faux' news is. History is replete with governments that got larger... at some point the growth reaches a point where the portion of society that is 'government' believes it has 'rights' above the 'rights' of its citizens... and behaves that way.

Mubarak did not start out as a 'dictator'... Yet there is no denying how he has 'governed' for quite some time... Ours is no different. When those that are the 'governers' become entrenched elites... They will act like entrenched elites... and take from the 'governed' all that they can because they feel 'entitled' to rule.

we need new blood in our governing 'houses'...

and term limits upon that new blood.
