I'm not suprised.
We just performed a 'Peer editing' session in my English 1A. The paper I was responsible for editing was literally laced with the same type of slaughter of our English language. I kid gloved it, and made the appropriate changes, as required. I'm not really sure if the student who wrote the paper truly understood the corrections though. I really wanted to write onto the criteria sheet,"Ebonics is NOT a recognized language". But I didn't. K. |

Can anyone make this out to what it means? Slang if you will. For the sake of proper english - "make this out to what it means" is incorrect. Can anyone translate this? would be acceptable. Secondly, I find it even more ironic that you used the word "pic" instead of picture. You forgot the comma before the "thee," and quite frankly your usage of Elizabethan in correlation with implied "matching" just makes you seem that much more judgemental.
