Capitol of the Buckeyes
Columbus Ohio

OK I was lost here - and I work there.
This picture is a bit dated since the building I now work in isn't there yet, I was all turned around!
Wait...maybe it is in there, just a short building!

I was on the roof of the building on the left - 38 story building - up on the roof with a bunch of hyper kids running around...was not a fun time!

What about your city/town do you like? What do you think would interest others and make them want to visit? Let us know what's great about where you live.

It's just a nice little lake, nothing special about it really. That's what I like about it. It's nice in the summer time to enjoy the lake and beach. There's the state park, nature trails, free movie nights, etc.

It has a bit of an interesting history as well.

Also, there's some nice places in the area.

I live between two small communities named Bolivar and Zoar in east central Ohio... Bolivar is home of Fort Laurens, Ohios only Revoluntionary War fort. It was built in Nov. 1778. There is a small museum there.
Zoar was settled in 1817 by german separatists and was a communal town. It has been restored and has some Civil war history..Both communities are right off I-77 so if you like history and passing this way, be sure to stop..
I am 12 miles south of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, 10 miles north of the Mooney Warther Museum.. Mr Mooney is known for carving the Lincoln Funeral train and many other famous trains, all with completely movable parts..It is really something to see!
I am also 100 miles from Pittsburg, Cleveland and Columbus with lots to do there and in between...
We do have a very nice hotel here, 2 golf courses, lots of places to eat and 15 miles from Atwood lake..

I fell in love in Zoar one August afternoon a few years ago -- with Robin Hood -- the tinsmith.
Reallyflowerforyou

Zoar is a beautiful community - the town square garden is just magnificent and a site to see when the dozens and dozens of hibiscus are in bloom.

We took the lantern light haunted tour of the village and learned a lot of history that way.

I've stayed in a few of the bed and breakfasts there. It's just a fascinating place flowerforyou

Yes, it is beautiful here.. There are always several weddings in the gardens during the summer too...

Nestled on the coast of Far North Queensland, Cairns is tucked between the Great Barrier Reef in the Coral Sea and the lush rolling downs of the Atherton Tableland to the west. Cairns is home to more than 130,000 people from all corners of the world and is renowned for its tourism attractions like the Great Barrier Reef and the Wet Tropics World Heritage rainforest.

Our climate is hot and humid during summer months with mild, dry winters. The rainy season generally occurs during summer between January and March. The average rainfall is 1992mm on an average of 154 days of the year. From December to March is monsoon season and brings hot, humid conditions, thunderstorms and tropical cyclones. The tropical cyclone season is normally from December to April but exceptions do occur. We currently have Cyclone Anthony hovering off the coast.

We have lush rainforest all around us as well as heaps of beaches with the deadly irukandji jellyfish, crocs, snakes, spiders, scorpions. Some of my favourite things to do is scorpion catching, fossiking, fishing, camping and perving on the chickies at the esplanade which is the only place i know where its legal for women to sunbake naked ;)

I def love cairns :D

I want to go to Australia so badly!

Denver, Colorado the mile high city. The birth place of...............................ME!laugh

Purple mountains majesty on one whole side and wind blown high plains on the other.

A combination of old western town and big city.

With 24 hour casinos in the mountains, where you can camp and just enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Of course all winter fun in the snow, skiing skiing and skiiing

We have a full all four seasons here. Snow in the winter and 80s and 90s in the summer.

I love Denver. The weather is nutty out there, though. The first time I visited, it was 75+ at the beginning of the week and snowing at the end. The second time had crazy thunderstorms with a creepy green sky and lots of hail. It's so pretty out there, though. i want to go back.

it's not a question of IF you make it to texas, it's WHEN. and allow me to thank you in advance for beautifying the great state of texas with your presence (when you get here) btw you may want to practise saying "howdy" (texan for hello)

haha thanks. Yeah, I will make it down there sometime. I have some family in San Antonio and a friend in Austin that I've been meaning to visit!!

Lincoln City is an Oregon coastal town.
It is considered a 'destination' resort kind of place.
Big casino, Outlet Mall, Golf courses, and small town charm.
You come, we take your $$, everyone is happy.
Then you go home.
Which used to be the motto promoted by the Governor,
"Come and visit beautiful Oregon, then go home."

It is not just the fascinating Pacific Ocean here.
There is abundant wildlife, ever-present, like a zoo
in your backyard. The Siletz Bay is a natural habitat
wildlife refuge. You can crab at will, clam, shrimp,
and ocean/bay fish.

Eagles soar overhead, whales caravan by.
Seals pup on the Spit, and big round eyes follow you
as you stroll along the beach.
Windsurfing rocks, and surfing trials are here.
Many used bookstores and antique shops line the villages.

If we had a TacoBell, we would be set.

Nuff said...this is a great town, best move I ever made!
