No Ray, has to go down to 0 degrees, then start counting below zero, such as: 0 degrees, -1, -2, -3, -4 etc.

Thus the term "below zero". 32 degrees is just the freezing stage of water.

it does have a fireplace...that's the problem, or one of them...no damper.

one gets used to it..it will be just as hot in the summer as it's cold in winter.

Do you get high humidity or does the ocean keep that away? In Iowa, it's the humidity that kills us in the summer more than the heat. I can stand heat, but the humidity buggers me up...I swell up like a blow fish!!!!!!!

I have to admit I have never understood this humidity thingy. Does it help if I tell you I have the dehumidifier going 24/7
