Lookie here. Another woman shot.

Multiple pages about a politician being shot and I will bet this story won't get past one page.

I guess, because there is nothing to be politically gained for her tragedy.

Police On Hunt For Suspect In Christian County Shooting
Woman shot remains in medically-induced coma while suspect still at large
January 10, 2011|By Jonah Kaplan
Ozark, MO —

The Christian County Sheriff's Office is on the hunt right now for a man they believe shot an Ozark woman in the head last night.

Fifty-year-old Donnelle Woodruff was sitting alone in her house last night in a quiet neighborhood in Ozark. At about 8:45 she had someone knock on her door; that meeting nearly turned deadly.

The sheriff says that a man then shot her at least two times through the door, once through the doorknob that hit her hand. The second shattered the front door window and hit Woodruff in the jaw.

A shellcasing found at the house pointed to a .22 caliber weapon.

Neighbors in the area said the commotion was quite unusual.

"I said I don't know I just seen him," said F.E. Campbell, a neighbor. "The police came with the lights on, seen them down there and we know something was happening because an ambulance was there and was there quite a while."

Christian County Sheriff Joey Kyle says that Woodruff survived the altercation and crawled to a neighbor's house, where she called 9-1-1.

The Sheriff's Office is now on a manhunt along with neighboring police forces for a suspect they believe knows the victim. That victim, Donnelle Woodruff, perhaps their best witness, can't speak to police, though. Her husband says she's in a medically induced coma at a Springfield hospital.

Police have named Robert Wendell Berry of Ava as their suspect and have charged him with 1st Degree Assault, Armed Criminal Action and 1st Degree Burglary.

He is a white male, five feet nine inches tall and weighs 170 pounds.

If seen you're asked to call the Christian County Sheriff's Office at 581-2332

Even if Gabby wasn't shot, the fact the 19 others were, would still be hogging all the glory.

What a tasteless and nonsensical thread.

.22 caliber? That's an odd caliber.

Actually for a head shot a .22 is pretty good. Has penetrating power but generally will not exit and bounces around scrambling the interior of the skull. This is why we use them to kill hogs and cattle.

Oh, I know what a .22 will do inside of a skull. Professional hit men used them a lot because they bounce around inside the head essentially shredding the brain. I just found it odd that it was used for a typical homicide when the favored gun of most homicides these days is a 9mm or a .45 caliber.

What a tasteless and nonsensical thread.

It doesn't serve the Extreme Left. So, they won't care if this gal lives or dies.
How come national Media isn't reporting every 15 minutes on her progress.

There is something to be said for a .40 or larger.

Nope, just tasteless.

I'm not left or right. Try another label. You might actually get one correct.
