I'm thinking about moving again. I tried to move down to MB in hopes of finding a better job, but that didn't work out too well.

I have experience in PCB manufacturing and as a grocery store stock clerk. I'm looking for anything related to my current job experience and skills with opportunity to move up. Once I get a regular job, I plan on going back to school for my business degree. In fact, I have it all set up, I just have to let them know when I want to start.

I did land a few temp./seasonal jobs and I'm kinda waiting to hear about another, but that's not enough. Right now, I just want a regular job so I can go back to school.

I'm in northeast Ohio, and I have just a little more than a grand. Where could I move to that has better job opportunities? I can't move too far, due to financial restrictions.

I was thinking about NYC, but is it really that likely that I would find something there?

IDK, any ideas would be great.

That's what I've been hearing.

I was also thinking about moving to Canada, but I think that would be too expensive. Then once I get there, who would hire me?

I've heard things were pretty tough back up in Ohio. A grand isn't much to move with. Things aren't much better down here in Kentucky. Are you wanting to be near the ocean? .......smokin

I will make it there some day. I tried it once and it didn't work, but I do have a better plan now, so we'll see what happens. Right now I just want a regular full time job, so I can go back to school.

Hey,
Go onto Service Canada Job bank,
that will show you what's out there and can filter it out by area, if you are contenplating Canada.

Things are not exactly Fantastic up here, Manufacturing is Hurting, but look at RIM (Research in Motion Aka Blackberry) in the Kitchner/Waterloo area with pcb experience, doesn't hurt to try.

Ironically the grocery store gig my brother in law makes 22.00 as a night time manager (working stocking shelfs), & my next door Nieghbor 23 years old is up to 19.00 @ the same chain, does not start out at that, and taxes up here are a little outta whack as well as prices, I travel to the US on service calls, and when I see everything from Laundry detergent to bread is about 1/2 the price, we pay over $1.10 a liter for gas right now (3.78 liters to a gallon) so that would be about 4.00 a gallon, things aint cheap.

But come on up brother drinker

I don't think it is a good idea to be thinking about moving right now...so soon after the holidays. It's only been a few days that everyone started back to work. The work force is always quiet after the holidays no matter what place.

Whatever you do stay out of WV!!! I may be moving within the next 6 weeks myself. Either colorado or pennsylvania as far as I know. I'll be moving on the road with my BF when this job is finished. Total lifestyle change! laugh

I was thinking of maybe being a grocery store manager when I get my degree. I'll checkout RIM in the Kitchner/Waterloo area. Thanks for the info. That would be something I would like.
