sounds cold and slippery. I find myself shuffeling to work, I have become my mother! As my kids call it "the old lady shuffle" My daughter bought me some of those Trax for my boots so now I have 4 wheel drive feet... I will have to get a pair. Get the kind with spikes...not springs...work better.

I sure could use a pair as it is dark when I go to work in the morning. So if I fell I would probably be there a while. Last year must of seen dozen or more employees with broken bones from slipping on the ice.

I ride the Metro bus so spend a fair amount of time outside in the cold and dark waiting for the bus and transfer bus.

I don't have to ride the bus, but parking lot a ways away from hospital.

Hi Vivian, the hero's are at it again. So much for all 3 trees down on 1 day! So far the average is 1 tree a day. Still, no houses or hero's have been damaged at this stage of the game

With my hip replacement, I am constantly fearful of falling, that and the 9 bad disks in my back....I could lose it all with one fall....all that I have tried so hard to keep since Bernie passed....I tell ya, I think my angels work over tme holding me up...

opps....double post Vivian, does the new burner work? I've got it going...time will tell. I don't want to build a large fire until I see how it's drawing..don't want it to smoke the house up.

Why are trees coming down Ray...were they damaged in the quakes? No Mary, no problem with the trees in that respect, The locals who are living in the shadow of the trees are getting a mite anxious. They are only 60 feet high, so I don't know what the problem is! If 1 lands on them, they will never know. In passing, our current temps are64degrees @ 2.45pm
