You can only have logical discussions and debates with people who are ignorant in some areas and admit that they don't know everything. Otherwise, you are beating your head against a brick wall, and the only thing that feels good about that is stopping.

Some people only debate the topics they know, then they get responses like the one quoted above.

I have read many things you have posted and you do not know me at all.. I have been nothing but cordial with you.

If you would look at the rederic that you say in a Hateful and disgusting tone then you could see good in life.

I have lots of opinions, which are nothing but opinions. I have lots of knowledge, which I back up with information from sources.

There is a huge body of information about which I know nothing. No one on these forums has tapped into or explained the information that I don't know.

I do know, though, that arguing with people who claim their knowledge or information is god-given is ultimately a useless endeavor.

I don't have a problem with militants, but I would not engage in discussion or debate with you because you know more than everyone else about what god says; the problem with that is that you don't know as much as you think you know.

I don't use rhetoric: that is the Christians' tactics.

I find it amusing that you say I don't know you "at all," yet you make a wide sweeping generalization in telling me that I am hateful, disgusting and don't see any good in life.

1st off i nudged you after i had a profile view. i was being nice. i have no interest.

You write with hate in ypour words. people can see that.

I have studied the scriptures for a very long time. I have been through the bible belt talking and chatting with ministers Drs. of Theology and many other avenues.

I have not come by my beliefs by just believing what anyone says. I also tell people do not believe me prove things to yourself because thats the only way you will know the subject.

I hardly ever take a hard stance against anyone period by blasting them with words of no use.. I try to back them up with facts from references and not traditional views.

Some of my best and favorite discussions have been with people who are highly educated who think what i believe is non sence but thats fine as long as its done with some kind of respect.
When respect goes out the window with words that are attacking the very core of someones faith no matter what that may be then its going over board and nothing gets said worth anything.

You apperently do not understand the Scriptures were written mostly in the 1st century and by Hebrew authors. Everything is Hebrewic and aligns up with the days of old.

That is your egetistical folly of not understanding or wanting to understand the scriptures.

Ohhhh! That certainly qualifies you as an expert! Did you know that many people who have theology degrees get them from nonaccredited schools? The ones who go to to well-respected and accredited universities do not teach/preach in the Bible Belt.

But heck, I LIVE in the Bible Belt! I have not been impressed with any ministers whom I have met, especially the one who didn't know the meaning of the words "pagan" or "polytheistic."

Miles, your beliefs are "out there" even more than mine are.

Also, some of your posts are impossible to read and understand. For example, the one to which this one is a reply is so garbled that I can't understand what you say and what I was supposed to have said.

Sloppy writing is indicative of a sloppy, disorganized mind. But don't feel too bad about this: most people who post in these forums are the same.



Why do you assume that I don't know who wrote the Christian Scriptures and when they were written?

By the way, the Christian Scriptures were largely written in Greek by highly Hellenized Jews. The Pauline scriptures were written for a Greek audience.



I consistently seek new knowledge, but no one on these boards has said anything that I haven't heard or read elsewhere--except for those who are obviously delusional and whose ideas give me a chuckle, but whom I can't take seriously.
