Ok, so my girl is overseas and I told her we would exchange gifts when I go back to Japan because its easier for me to shop in the US. Her mp3 player broke so I was planning to buy her one. My aunt told me she has an ipod she doesn't use because she just bought an iphone 4.

Now, should I buy her a new ipod or take my aunts and get her a second gift as well like jewelry. I am not gonna cheap out and just give her just a used ipod but I am wondering if it would look bad giving her the used ipod even if I buy her another gift. hmmm

Maybe it depends on your gfriend - but I would not be offended in the least with a used ipod - assuming it really works and you didn't try to pass it off as new...
ESPECIALLY if it was accompanied by jewelry

Yea she had an ipod first. She bought an iphone 4 which is a smart phone so it does lots of things but now takes the place of her ipod so she doesn't need it which is why she offered it to me.

I got a smart phone to and using it as a ipod kills the battery big time so a ipod would be awesome gift
