We had about 2 inches of fresh snow this christmas morning(east central Ohio)...Haven't had alot of snow yet this winter...yea!!

Go Maine! LOL! Thank you, I do love it here...ask me come Spring! Last winter, my first one here, was so mild, even places in the south had worse weather than we did. Everyone says we are going to make up for it this winter!! As long as my 21 year old neighbor keeps shoveling my drive for me - it's all good!! (course then I go do my folks place) Gonna have to bake that kid some cookies.... By the way, love the coast of your state too. Go N.C.!!

This is our second snow this year.
The first was 3 inches. I've seen it go 5 yrs without accumulation. The last two years are like someone turned the weather back 30 years. |

It has snowed all day here just outside of Atlanta in GA! Supposed to keep snowing through tomorrow. But all that snow coming down and only about an inch and a half on the ground - roads were still clear earlier. An inch and a half outside of Atlanta!!! I used to have family there and an inch was enough to close everything!!! Is everything closed? It makes sense though, the south just doesn't have the equipment, salt, sand to deal with the roads. Up here it is pretty much life as usual when weather hits. Schools close of course but the foot traffic in town is enough to make you think it is a balmy early summer day. The roads are cleared in a jiffy, even the little side street I live on...of course this is only the beginning of my second winter here and although it has snowed several times - nothing over a few inches yet. Last winter was very mild here, so we will see if I change my tune by Springtime!! |

We got about 10 inches or so on Dec.12th. It was a mess.

I woke up to it snowing here in South Western NC. A pictursque Christmas in the mountains. 5 inches and it's still snowing. Is it snowing where you are? Not snowing today but we have seen enough snow to put a lot of people in a foul mood. |

Its a day late for a white christmas,It just started snowing here about a hour ago.Good day to just stay inside and watch some football.

Just found out we in the catskills might be getting a big snowstorm thru tomorrow

A lot of the East coast is gearing up for a big Nor'easter. For my area they are calling for between 10 and 16 inches. I have taken a few common sense measures, flashlight, candles, water, ciggs and wine!
 My feeling is that if it's going to do it, do it enough to bring everything to a halt for awhile!! Oh I saw a snow plow today that was wider than the traffic lane! Biggest plow I think I have ever seen!

several yrs back we had snow the week before xmas and if i recall right a few days after
it was crazy the news said that we had not had snow in ages on xmas which there report is totally wrong for i remember clearly when my daughter was 11months old(27yrs ago) we had snow on xmas day the first time in 45yrs. and i have pic that i took. so the news cant say we had not had snow on that certain day 27yrs ago |
