I live in Phoenix so I have to drive a few hours to even see some snow. It's well worth the trip up to Flagstaff though...I usually make an annual snowboarding to there or Cali.

My kitchen door is 3 steps off the ground, this morning I could not open it for the four feet of snow that had been wind blown against the whole west side of my house. I couldn't even see the shape of the steps!! The west side and back wall looked like an igloo so much snow was plastered to them! Sustained winds of 45-50 MPH and many, many gusts at 65 plus. They were supposed to die down about 3pm but from the sounds of it we are still having very strong winds. Snowing off and on still too! If I had sunk to ground level I would have been thigh high in snow, as it was it topped my knee high boots! Whew what a storm!!

Yupper, mid coast. I can be on a beach with a 3-4 minute walk. Can't see it from my house which is really to bad but I got closer than I ever thought possible! Then I am officially jealous. I'm happiest when near a large body of water. |

It was actually very pretty this mroning on my way to work. The trees were completley white. Now if it just wasn't so cold.

Most the snow here has melted, at least on the roads. Be safe on the road Iam! I can sympathize with the truck drivers being one myself.

Truck drivers, deep sea fisherman, so many people who have no choice but to be out there. May you all be safe, warm and dry as you do the work that moves this country. |
