How can you be anti liberal and not be a Republican?

That's not fair. I know the answer because I'm anti-Republican. (My goal is to see them cease to exist as a major Political Party in America.)
and yet, I'm not a Democrat.

I am an American though.
(I'll never leave my country because things suck. I will stay and fight to make it better or die.)

The Republican Party is the greatest threat America faces today.

Even though the threat is a domestic one, the danger they present to the American People is far worse than the Taliban or Al qieda.

It's easy to be anti-liberal and not Republican. I myself am both anti-liberal and anti-conservative. Yes, the Republican Party is a threat, but so is the DP (or any party in power). Ideally, all the parties would go away along with the Federal government, leaving a Confederation of states as originally intended in the Articles of Confederation.

President Obama signs legislation that would limit the influence of lobbyist, special interests, domestic corporations, and foreign corporations to affect the outcome of policies.
Then pushes for a public option in health-care and limits the power of the insurance companies to stick it to their policy holders.

And, some people think he is on the take for their lobbyist's dollars.

It just doesn't reason.

well, because it is the senate and the house that receives money from the lobbyists, not the prez...he has a hard job, but even so, he is still not doing it well...

To change the game you first have to play the game being played and play by the current rules.

If you can't you've already failed.

I think he's doing good.

I stay away from discussing the media. I have liberal friends and ultra-conservative friends. I'm a moderate....and a former History major. I listen to so much misinformation tossed about it's ungodly. I've tried to argue with them a few times....offered to provide and show my sources. I can pull up all sorts of data from records and published resources. It didn't matter. Both sides so firmly believe what they hear in their respective media and despise the other side's media. Even to the point that they question the validity of all data not provided by their own sources.

Funny how blind people can be sometimes. slaphead frustrated
Have you read much about operation Mockingbird? its about the CIA's efforts to control the media. I find that a most interssting thing to read about.

I can't take it! There is no way of ever telling the truth!
Everyone is out to influence everyone else. They all have a secret agenda!

How are we supposed to know if it is the CIA, the KGB, the Mossad,
or MI5?!

sad

laugh
Its a matter of public record simply use your google.

evidence of Mockingbird's existence emerged in the 2007 memoir American Spy: My Secret History in the CIA, Watergate and Beyond, by convicted Watergate "plumber" E. Howard Hunt and The Mighty Wurlitzer: How the CIA Played America by Hugh Wilford (2008).[2]

I really don't want to talk about this because the roots of this argument over media go way back long before the CIA even existed. In fact, this country was founded upon media interference in politics. Just look at Ben Franklin, Thomas Paine, even Henry David Thoreau.

I really don't feel like having to dig through my books to cite all the instances throughout our nations history where the media was involved in politics. It's a fact of politics in this nation. People just need to accept it. It's called Freedom of the Press.
