yeah that is my hometown. Lived in the same house in Newark for 18 years then moved north to Akron.

From Philly huh? My brother lived there for years. Best pizza I have ever had was in Philly...... ya we got lotsa good delis & grinders there - it's been awhile since I have actually been in town - grew up there & only lived there till I graduated HS best known for cheese steak hoagies and pretzel vendors - none better I grew up in NJ.Always went to Philly for cheesesteaks. Even ran track in the Penn Relays. I never saw so many people in my life. Tastycake Bakery was the bomb!!!!

That does suck and I'm sorry. Making a move for a job is always risky. Good advise about the lease. You can break a lease. If you like the area look for something else around there. Can you talk to your boss about it? I could talk to my boss but I don't want him to know I'm unhappy. I do not want to disappoint him. That is very important to me, and I really want to stay where I am - I am not sure what to do to make things go better - Sometimes jobs get better as you go along. What sucks? IDK - it's just been a little routine & boring lately and I am wondering how long to wait it out or if it'll get better - or if I'm just homesick... Was gonna ask how ong ago! I didn't like Aggieland after i first moved and stayed homesick for years it seemed & now I don't wanna leave here. Graduate school had been a struggle for me, but I am finally looking at graduating next year & wanna stay for at least 1 postdoc!

Ive been in that spot I found another job and stayed and Im really glad I did...I hope it works out for you!! Happy Holidays

The job will all work out and the holidays will pass. Once spring is here it will be all worked out. That is a beautiful place to be in the spring..... ur the best! that may be true, and it's encouraging to hear you say that. my boss keeps telling me he's very happy with me. After talking it out w/ u guys, I think I am mostly homesick for the holidays....thanks newark hey you've been to Cols Ohio in the spring?? Thats really hard. Ive been killer homesick in Mexico a couple of times...but Im glad I stuck it out.
