Funny how it uses no propellant but the magnetic forces and velocity of the projectile causes a plasma trail to follow the projectile out of the gun. THAT IS POWER! All those HUGE cables feeding electricity to that weapon!

YOW! WHO PAYS THEIR POWER BILL???

I am not sure where the program is at but there was a plasma weapon that took a piece of aluminum wire and melted it and used a rail gun to project the plasma like a "heavy laser" beam. Instead of Photons it was supposed to use the aluminum atoms as projectiles in a beam. Theoretically it was not supposed to have the draw backs of a laser like reflection and range but it was a massive system requiring huge amounts of power to feed. BUT conversely the thing did a lot more than cut holes in targets. If that system could be perfected it would make anti missile technology more than a feasible reality! Setting up batteries of these weapons in a defensive field would mean that even submarine launched missiles would be just shot down whether it is a dummy or not.

Mount a couple of BIG ones on a satellite and shoot down everything they have in the skies, and not even have to send a flight of bombers. Just park a pair of death rays in orbit above n Korea and start blowing up everything they use to make weapons, sink ships in harbors, shoot down air craft, maybe even target a tactical nuke or 20 on their artillery fields.

Peace through superior firepower! Best policy is to have the better stick than the other guy!

I also love "Death From Above!" Let us bring the rain!
