For many years of dreamless nights to the last couple of night of active REM stages, mostly a sleepless night, finally I fell asleep....to dream of a knock at the door....in the dream the clock says 3:30 am.....I look through the door and ask who it is the answer of Ubel returns through the door, I ask if this is family of some sort and do they know my grandmother......the answer returns yes with some babble of explanation and distant recognition......I open the door to this person unfamiliar to me and allow them to stay the evening but advise grandmother is sleeping and needs her rest.........I check upon my sleeping children in the dream for some reason I have both instead of one.........I fix the visitors food and beverage and show them to a room.....when I turn in the room it fills with strangers...some doing drugs and I tell them they must leave they cannot ne there.....I turn and there is my grandmother in the door way......and the realization these people are not alive and amongst them my grandmother.....I was seiing dead people........I asked my grandmother if she still lived of which she replied no woke up my pillow soaking wet and crying in great despair......I jumped up from my bed looked at the clock 5 am went to my grandmothers room to make sure she was alive and well.......it has been an extremely long time since a dream has gripped me like this.......or even had one so real and life like........I still am feeling the affects of it now

Yeah... I've had a few oh-so-real, gut wrenching dreams about similar things. They leave you anxious, exhausted and wondering what's up in your head that you'd dream such a thing.
On the flip side, I've also on occasion managed to have a lucid type dream, in which I realize I'm dreaming and then the sky's not even the limit. Pretty entertaining over all... The worst though is when I dream I'm at work and then wake up to realize it's time to get up and go to work... ![]() |

I have been having horrible nightmares lately...woke up in the middle of one the other night, recalled the nightmare and figured out how to change it...fell back to sleep and had the same nightmare with a different ending! I am averaging 2 hours a night now and wish I could figure out why.

I am drained every night I have the weird dreams that plague me. Sometimes my dream state is just like working a 14 hour day when I wake up. I try hard to shut off my dreams so I can get a good night of rest and then I have a hell of a time sleeping more than 4 hours.
Catch 22! |

those suck. I have weird dreams too, and a lot of them turn into de ja vus which creeps me out. I get freaked out by lifelike dreams that often come true.

I had a dream a couple months back that was different. I was at my friends place and long story short he had about a 2 acre pond, pool, or lake in the back. Along the water was a brick wall and California grey whales came out of the water, hugged and slid along the wall turning different colors of camouflage green, blues, grays. Doing laps was a pod of Orcas who came out of the water, trudge a few feet and morphed into T-Rex's.....oh yeah and there were 22' grizzlies in the woods outside his wall. |

I have heard that keeping a notebook by ur bed to write down your dreams sometimes helps to calm them you might have an overactive REM sleep sequence as well.....have you ever done a sleep study.....to see what your stages are? |
