Have you ever met someone who became significant in your life because they knocked on your door or you theirs?

The man who I was briefly engaged to and is the father (we refer to him as "the biological sperm donor") of my son knocked on my door looking for one of my new housemates. We were inseparable until I turned up pregnant...the rest is a common story...but I did meet him cause he knocked on my door.

Yep.....and she was gorgeous (mentally as stable as a Jenga set) but what a stunner. EVERYONE wondered why a woman who looked like she did would ever have anything to do with me.

I had to laugh and smile when a couple of my buddies were griping about how unfair it was...."If you want to hook up with the hottest chick on the planet....sit your @$$ ast home and don't do a damned thing...that's what Krupa did"

BTW - OP, yes. I met my ex husband becasue I got off the elevator one floor too soon and knocked on the wrong door - he was a man all over the opportunity at the time...daresay not the case now, but - eh of course it's all my fault ya ya ya

When I was much younger, and before I was married, a girl knocked on the door of my apartment and said "I knew you were an artist the first time I saw you." Apparently she had been stalking me for awhile, and had been doing a good enough job of it that I hadn't noticed.

It was flattering, and I admired her nerve, and she was also very attractive, so we wound up involved for about 6 months. It didn't last -- it never does -- but it was fun while it lasted.

Soooo, so far there are 4 of us who have done 'about nothing' and ended up hooked up at least for a time that was good.
