I think its better for self defense and it seems like most Karate and Tae Kwon Do schools now are mostly interested in money more than actually teaching someone the art. A lot of places Ive seen you only have to have a good memory in order to advance in belts. Basicly you only have to know the steps of a form (kata) in order to advance. Thats my experience. Maybe not be always like that though.

I really liked when I was in judo I learned a lot about the history of judo. the terminology. In karate I didn't. I enjoyed judo a lot more. But I liked that karate was more physical.

Jiu Jitsu is really physical and its really fun as well.

I don't know anywhere in town that does jiu jitsu though.
Plus my judo instructor is excellent. If I have the extra time when I go back work I will probably join back up again. Get my daughter involved too. |

I know I literally laughed out loud.
But it's a pretty neat show. People have different types of homemade cannons and shoot pumpkins out of them. |
