No No No! Filtering is extremely good. It is the same basic filtering process which is used everywhere to safeguard the public water supply! Even better if you filter at home. Bottled water is just a rip off. from: http://www.bottledwaterblues.com/bottled_water_facts.php The fact is that people pay from $1 to $4 a gallon for the perception of higher quality, when in fact the quality of bottled water is at best unknown! Over 90% of the cost of bottled water is in the bottle, lid and label. The bottled water industry is full of deception and questionable ethics. Industry lobbyists successfully fight every year to keep bottled water companies from having to abide by even the minimal health standards set by the EPA for tap water. The FDA, which regulates bottled water, states that "Companies that market bottled water as being safer than tap water are defrauding the American public." "Of particular note, FDA does not have the specific statutory authority to require bottlers to use certified laboratories for water quality tests or to report test results, even if violations of the standards are found." -- General Accountability Office report I think that is the most ignorant statement that I have ever read on these forums and I have read some truly dumbs**t here. |

Bottled is nothing but another money maker and "HIP" thing to drink!! Here In Nebr. our water is fine AND it doesnt come in a plastic, non recylable bottle that most people throw in the garbage or on the street!! Next thing U know they will be selling bottles from the Fountain of Youth!!! If the water is so bad, why do U shower and water your garden with it!! Only those that think its "miracle' water are dumb enough to pay for it!!

I can't speak for every company out there. Only for the product I personally produce and the proceedures I use and the gov't regulations that are enforced in Texas.
IF you guys are buying tap water, you can physically taste it...chlorine, calcium, iron....it leaves an aftertaste. Don't buy it. However, to summarily group the entire industry as a bunch of thieving con artists lets me know that people are as stupid as I believe they are. Believe everything you read on the net and completely discount any actual, practical real world experience. I would love to play poker with these guys. |
