My step-bro and his cousin did this, but fits in with that. Keep in mind, back then (early-mid 90's) we all lived in the same small town where everybody knows everything about everybody. 'Cousin' owned a '67 Cutlass convertible (for years) and stood out a bit. Anyhow, they were short on cash, price on scrap aluminum was up, so they went around town stealing lawn chairs (with the top down). In their great wisdom, they hung a towel out of the trunk to cover the licence plate to avoid being identified. They earned MY Darwin award for that year!
