As it was explained to me: Brits speak english- Americans speak American english. Spaniards speak spanish-Mexicans speak mexican spanish. Not sure where I was headed with that one....

Spanish as it is explained to me by my Costa Rican friends are from Spain. Yet she speaks spanish. There is a difference in spain spanish, and mexican spanish. Mostly with the pronounciations with j and y.
