I just watched it tonight and it was really good. I've always been a joan jett fan though, but i never knew about that Cherie Curry girl. The movie as a whole was excellent. Super acting by all the female cast. I pretty much love that time era as well so no surprise I was not disappointed by this one. Good rent if you live rock and roll.

seriously it was good, it had a lot of sexiness in it too, not to mention the coming out of an all girl rock band debut.

Yeah, it was a great movie, it seemed like Kristen Stewart's acting was a lot better. To me it seems like in the Twilight movies she and the rest of the cast hold back on the emotion and such.

Hi Oceanbluze, I've been a Runaways die hard fan since they begun and bought each album as it came out. I found the film ok, it was just based on Cherie's book. Also, to me the film was more like a trailer being it only hit the tiny tip of the iceberg and it was only based on Cherie's recollection. She was also high the entire time with the band. Check out the albums though. They're all on CD now.

cool, thanks for sharing, i grew up listening to joan jett and did not even know she existed in a band prior to going solo. I was also familiar with lita ford, so it was interesting that cherie was the main character, i did not realize it was from her perspective/book

I really liked the movie, it was so nice to see an all girl rock band way back when...
back in the 70s when I was a teen, I wanted to learn to play the drums and i can remember my music teacher telling me that because I was a girl I wasnt strong enough or coordinated enough to play drums.

I started drumming classes last year...he was wrong.

Cherie was the main character only because the film is based off her book Neon Angel. It was all from her point of view. If you ask the other Runaways they will state something different. Remember, Cherie was high during the entire time in the band.

I feel the same way, I was thinking about playing my piano again. At the time the Runaways were together playing guitars etc. I was jammin' on my piano. Then I got an electric guitar but failed to practice. ohwell
