The older i get, the harder it's gonna be. you see, because of my lack of life experiance, people my age are older than me, its just the truth. I never had the life experiance that most 40 year olds have because everyone just overprotected me. I am gullable and not very "streetwise", so it's very easy for someone to take advantage of me. Because i've been overprotected all my life and i was stifled from doing certain things that normal people would do when they "grow up". I just never "grew up", i just wasn't allowed to and because of that i can not relate to other people my age because they been through alot of stuff i haven't, don't you think it would make a little sense that i would end up with a woman in her 20s? With as little life experience as i have, it would just seem easier. Not that i'm that picky about age or anything, it's that i still live a life of a teenager, have been for 20 years.

huh?

For 20 years you've lived the life of a 20 year old?

SO you have a job, pay rent, drive a car, cook, clean, and pay your bills on time?

My perception is....you blame others for YOUR decision to be irresponsible, and unaccountable for your actions...you are 40....tough Sh*te...not 20...

and if you use your excuse of being 'over-protected' and 'sheltered' to justify you dating 20 year olds...I hope it keeps you warm at night.

in life, irrespective of age or circumstance, we have to own our OWN stuff...

...and your reactiveness to a respectful response to your question shows your fragile justifications won't stand up to scrutiny.

He has a form of Autism Jess...

SO the Asperger's is related to the OP?

Where on the spectrum does the OP sit, with Aspergers?

I understand the social skill level may be different, ie missed cues/comprehension of subtle facial expression/body language...although reading the OP's posts, I would suspect he is high end of the spectrum...

the reactive response is atypical....for a 13-17 year old with Aspy's...however it still doesn't sit right with the rest of the OP's posts..

Incapacity to functioning in an independent day to day world, is NOT relevant/specific for high end spectrum of Aspy's...

and ironically Aspergers is a 'new-ish' diagnosis within the Autism world..certainly not over 20 years old...schitzophrenia is a common misdiagnosis for younger Aspy's...

I am interested to know more...

I think I have re-edited a million times here...in my haste to respond!noway laugh

Ya, I nosed in his profile tho, he didnt post it. Characteristics from one person to the next is so vastly varied with Aspergers. The only real similarity/constant is that they lack social skills/unwritten rules of interaction.

He's also blind.

Ahhhhh!...thankyou!...that answers a whole lot more of the historical protectiveness...

I retract all my club swinging diatribe...and plead irresponsible, and downright ignorant of the worst kind, through insufficient information....
