any ideas on how to bind cardstock.
I have three eleven by seventeen sheets to be binded. I just want options. |

Bind them together like a book, or bind each piece of cardstock individual, like a carpet all around?

Well I can think of several choices. If you can punch holes in the cardstock ( 2 or 4 evenly spaced holes ) you can tie them with a nice ribbon, jute cording or leather strips. OR punch holes at every inch and use ribbon, cording or leather, to whip stich the pages together.
A different way would to cut 3 lengths of fabric or single fold bias tape,( 2 chould be 1/2 to 3/4 inch wide and one 1 inch wide and what ever the length of your cardstock you are binding ) then glue each piece of cardstock to each other with the bias tape ( the 2 narrower ones on the inside of the pages, the wider one over the outside). Trim at the ends. I would suggest using hot glue as a white glue (elmers type) might make the cardstock warp. It is hard to describe without pictures so if you have any questions email me. |

i think i understand.
would the bias tape look "professional" though. maybe getting the same color as the cardstock? |

The bias tape would allow the book to hinge like a real/normal type book. It would be more like a real book binding, unlike the other two methods. To match the cardstock color bias tape does have more choices. You might have to use a twill tape also sold at fabric stores, for a sturdier hinge/spine. Though twill tape does not come in as many colors. Do you know how to use rit dye? You could also dye the twill tape to match the cardstock.
