ATLANTA (AP) - Pro wrestler Chris Benoit strangled his wife and
smothered his son before hanging himself in his weight room, a law
enforcement official close to the investigation told The Associated
Press on Tuesday.

i dont think he done it i still say it was a set up.

who knows, they say they found steroids in his house, so it may be
possible the juice messed with his brain.

He was psychotic from steroids. I'm not a conspiracy theorist.

OH GOSH YOU HAD TO GET ME STARTEDON THIS SUBJECT...
ok first of all he had a drug test in april of 2007 and tested neg. but
yes the steriods were prescribbed. you know it was ashamed they did a
three hour tribute to him when he did it but good enough vince stood up
and said knowing the reasoning they were not speaking of him anymore.
thats right he deserves no respect. anyone who kills their own wife and
child is a scum bag. i don't care who you are. so if he did it, why
would you miss him ....im standing by my decision until they have proof
its not him....

Unfortunately this happens far too often...There was just another murder
suicide last night involving three people in Toronto...I don't think
it's a set-up...He cancelled his wrestling pay per view event the night
before giving a very odd reason...If steroids were involved and being
violent was out of character for him...that could explain his sudden
violent tendencies!!!!!!!!

well roids dont make a person so off the hook that this kinda thing woul
dhappen, and i dont believe someone expirienced as him would overdose,
knowing the consequences, so yea there's you answer it is a set up to
ruin wwe

Often too what the outside world sees a person as...MAY not be what they
are at home behind closed doors when it comes to their families...He
could have been violent with his family and maybe nobody knew about
it...If it wasn't steroids...This is the act of a very self-fish,
controlling and abusive person...Whose mind-set is...If I can't have
you...Nobody is going to have you...That seems to be at the center of
family murder suicides!!!!!!

native i have met chris quite a few times when i trained for my
wrestling classes, he was one of the most family oriented man i have
seen he aint abusive and simply loved his family to death i do not
believe he did what is being said

It does sound like a murder suicide but I guess we have to wait for
forensics to really get down to the bottom of it.

I agree with you native.....we don't know what goes on behind closed

Ok...Well I don't know him...So I can't really comment...I am mainly
speaking of what could have driven him to do such a thing...and what the
circumstances are when one chooses the path of murder suicide....I can
only go by the information presented and to me it sounds like a typical
case...Especially because of the cancellation phone call shortly before,
the fact that his wife was strangled, his son suffocated over the
week-end and then he hung himself a day or 2 later!!!!

I think it was murder suicide, and that sreroids was a big factor in it,
you don't have to OD on them just prolonged use will cause violent mood
swings, and anything could have set him off,I know of a man shot his
wife three times because she wouldn't get him a drink, and normally he
was good as gold, and the bad part, he really loved his wife, he
couldn't control it.
Nt only that, I don't think there was anyone big or bad enough to put
that rope around the rabbid wolverines neck!!

Hey Everyone; I've been a big fan of Chris Benoit for years and had alot
of respect for him because of his talent but I in no way shape or form
condone what he did if in fact he did do it. I'm going to hold my
judgment until ALL the facts are in. Now, as far as the steroids. It's a
well known fact that Chris had neck surgery a few years ago and they
more than likely put him on cortico steroids which are WAY defferent
than anabolic steroids which are the steroids SOME athletes and
bodybuilders use to " get pumped"

i dont know what happened i dont know if what is being said is true or
not.. i do know that i'm saying prayers for familiees of both chris and
his wife and for their souls..
