My dog has been very sick for a about a week now. She has been on Antibiotics but has not been getting much better. I just want my dog to get well!!

they said it is probably Kennel Cough....my son just got a puppy from a pet store...and it had a slight runny nose and then got slightly worse..anyways I was puppy sitting for him ..and we did not realize the puppy was sick my dog got sick a couple days after the puppy starting showing more signs...Even though my dog has had her shots..they said that does not always prevent it ..it could just help make the symptoms less severe..but not in her case ..she is pretty bad, I am thinking maybe due to her age..she is a 10 year old Boxer...I hate seeing her so sick...Thank God the puppy is all better now!!

puppy probably came from a puppy farm.... full all kinds of behavourial & physical ailments...

I took my dog to the vet again yesterday, they changed her antibiotics.
Hopefully with the help of her new antibiotics she will start showing some signs of improvement and be better soon. |

My thoughts and prayers are with U both!!! Dogs can be VERY strong when they have a master that loves them and I know U give him the best a dog can ask for!!

Kennel cough is like the flu. Bordetella shots can help, but its still no guarantee, since it evolves fairly quickly.
