I don't think it's flattering; your face, eyes and smile is not visible. I doubt many members would be inspired to view your profile with that as a main picture; however, you can keep it as an extra.

yes.. cant see you.. and your profile too id add to it not much there, that is if you take this place seriously..<if u dont put for friends> what are your interests? i dunno really i think nothing works for me ive had 15 pics and a long profile. then nothing at times. however had a 8 hour phone call last night. with a mutual match that is LOCAL for once.. who knows maybe ill meet my second person and first localy off here in 4 yrs lol! good luck to you! and welcome here!

Well most of the people will view your profile depending on how you look like in your primary pic... That's the reality.

I never judge on just one photo I always go...readthe pro....see whats happening between the lines

I definitely agree that attraction is more than about looks; however, when online dating, the "cover" is how you will grab the attention of people right away.

When people meet and date in person, personality can trump appearance much easier. Online dating has an exterior to crack first before we get to the qualities.

I never go to the pro...well in fact alot of the time....until i start to see the personality emerge within the forums...I dont go for the looks first at all...I guess Im different than most

and usually.....and i mean this...alot of the time they have had no pic up at all...

Like when I first joined....I had no pic up for at least 3-5 months (don't remember) but i had sooo many e-mails once people started to see my personality come through

Then a friend put a pic up and it was over...I sort of regret it now cause sooo many didnt read a word of my pro at all...they assumed everything from that one pic...to me..it was crazy

so really...and i am being really honest...pics dont do it for me!
