Karl Rove slams Christine O' Donnell while Sean Hannity tries to defend her

"Evidently Karl Rove did not get the Fox News memo last night on their midterm elections coverage. While the rest of the network was cheering on the Republican primary win of Christine O' Donnell, Rove separated from the pack and actually criticized O' Donnell.

The video below offers a rare glimpse at some Fox News disunity. Sean Hannity is clearly is an O' Donnell fan, who cheers on her victory as yet another sign that conservatives are taking their government back. However, Rove immediately dismisses O' Donnell's chances of winning in the general elections. Rove states that Republicans have gone from possibly winning "eight or nine" Senate seats to "seven to eight" Senate seats with O' Donnell win. Rove also refers to recent paranoid comments from O' Donnell in which she talked about checking behind cars to see if someone was following her to her home. Finally, Rove also accuses O' Donnell of doing a smear campaign against her Republican opponent, U.S. Representative Mike Castle. During the campaign rumors spread that Rep. Castle was having a gay affair, and many have accused the O' Donnell campaign of disseminating the rumors. During the interview Hannity appears frustrated in his attempts to defend O' Donnell.

While there are many critics of Rove, few doubt his knowledge of Republican politics. Rove earned a nickname as the "the Architect" after helping former President George W. Bush secure the Republican nomination and two presidential elections."
