3 Kids From Crescent Face Up To 5 Years In Juvenile Prison

CRESCENT, Okla. -- Three Crescent Middle School students are facing up to five yeas in juvenile prison in the beating of a 12-year-old autistic boy, then posting the video to YouTube.

Crescent Police Chief Kalon Barnett said the assault happened during recess, on the playground at Crescent Middle School. Barnett said one of the boys, aged 12, taped the incident on his cell phone.

He said the video shows the boys confront Jacob Jones, who puts his hands in his pockets and tries to walk away.

Barnett said you then hear one of the boys ask if he should "drop-kick" Jones, and that's when the boys start assaulting him.

Barnett said the boys then posted it to YouTube.

The website has since taken down the video.

Barnett said all three boys have been suspended for at least 45 days, and are facing up to five years in juvenile prison.

Barnett said he hasn't interviewed the boys, but he has monitored their Facebook sites.

He said so far, the boys don't seem apologetic.

I love it when the lower end of the gene pool provides evidence for their own prosecution. There was a group of teenage dirtbags several years ago that did the same thing only with a female with down syndrome, they videoed that lil sweetheart too. Unfortunately this is probably their first offense and will get a strong verbal warning from the judge and nothing else.

I feel bad for that kid that got beat down...how demeaned he must have felt. I saw this story locally and the OP could not have been further off in asserting it as being about "permissive households" (knowing the MO of the author) unless it's about conservative permissivenesss*.

There were no interviews of the parents saying they've been too permissive, no "hippies" shown..pfft..so I have no idea how the OP dreamed this up or could possibly spin this into an example to permissive or "liberal" blaming. Oh yeah the myth that RW religious nutbags are more moral than liberals.

So how about the demographics where the crime occured. Oklahoma is a very religious RW state and I could easily assume that in a state that also ranks #1 in child abuse deaths I think we do have an idea of who's promoting the violence or not talking to their kids about bullying.
